Peanut Honey Tofu Recipe

Crispy golden tofu coated in a rich peanut-honey-ginger glaze, with just the right hint of heat all served up with crunchy tenderstem broccoli for balance.


It’s creamy, spicy, and a little sweet.



Peanut Honey Tofu

Servings: 4 | Ready in 45 Minutes


Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil

  • 400g (14 oz.) tenderstem broccoli

  • 350g (12.4 oz.) firm tofu


Sauce:

  • 4 tbsp. natural peanut butter

  • 2 tbsp. tamari or soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp. water

  • 5 tbsp. honey

  • 1 tsp. sesame oil

  • ½ tsp. chili flakes

  • 1 tbsp. grated ginger



Instructions:

  1. Drain the tofu and press between paper towels and plates with a heavy item on top for 30 minutes.

  2. Cut the tofu into 1.25 cm (½-inch) cubes.

  3. Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  4. Steam or boil the broccoli until tender, then set aside.

  5. Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the tofu and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned. Add the sauce and stir well.

  6. Remove from the heat and serve with the broccoli.
